About Lifemoves Studio
Building alignment in body and mind. Creating strength with every movement. Transforming lives through mindful practice.
Lifemoves was founded by 2 friends who each had a passion for mindful movement and healthy lifestyle and vitality. We both also had a passion for work life balance and were ready to leave our high pressure corporate fitness jobs to make a positive impact as small business owners in our community. There were several entrepreneur hurdles along the way that made us tough and resilient. I like to think that we were ignorantly optimistic and that's how we stayed sane through all of the unexpected expenses of being new business owners. We opened up in January of 2014 and have been going hard and growing since then! We grew out of our first location and expanded to a much larger space. Our supportive community of loyal members is what we are most proud of. Dana has been the sole owner of Lifemoves Studio since 2020.
We offer Pilates, Yoga, Barre, TRX, Aerial, Strength training, nutrition therapy, acupuncture, massage and health coaching. I think what sets us apart is we do not operate off of a rigid franchise business model, the owner Dana Yarn is there daily teaching and interacting with clients, and we have multiple offerings, there are several fitness studios who only offer a few modalities, we are a one stop shop offering classes or private sessions of Pilates, yoga, barre, strength, core, functional, flexibility, cardiovascular exercise.
